The STAND Regional Conference on Darfur took place today at Pancoe Pavilion.  The conference, which was one of six held across the country, was an opportunity for students to “remain informed about the genocide in Darfur, gain important activist tools, and network with other motivated student activists,” according to the conference website.  For more information on the conference, click here.  STAND: A Student Anti-Genocide Coalition is an umbrella organization trying to put an end to genocide, especially in Darfur.  Northwestern Darfur Action Coalition organized the Northwestern conference.
