This is actually a much smaller version of the interview because (as you noted) he was so easy to engage. I'm not sure if you edited this down, but it seems like Tykwer isn't very hard to engage. Some very interesting comments on his part. As far as ignorant film school students go, I have to concur. All you have to do is go to a Block cinema screening to see that students at Northwestern don't really care about anything made before 1995.
