After thousands of views and hundreds of votes, NBN’s first film festival has come to an end. We hope you enjoyed the films and appreciated the work of the student-directors on campus. We also hope you keep talking about the importance (or irrelevance) of these films.

And finally, here are the winners:

• Reader’s Choice: The Meeting. In a landslide victory, over 300 votes were cast for Ryan Gallagher’s film about finding romance.
• Director’s Choice: The Lesson of the Moth. Robert Quick, director of film productions at NBN, had this to say:
  

  This film truly embodies the spirit of student filmmaking, and is a pioneer in an area of film that doesn’t get as much attention. With hand-drawn pictures, vivid colors and original sounds, it’s a unique combination of animation, sound design and poetry all wrapped into a potent story.

To each director will go a $50 prize. Congratulations to them, and thanks to everyone who submitted or watched a film!
