The winners of the fall film festival
After thousands of views and hundreds of votes, NBN’s first film festival has come to an end. We hope you enjoyed the films and appreciated the work of the student-directors on campus. We also hope you keep talking about the importance (or irrelevance) of these films.
And finally, here are the winners:
- Reader’s Choice: The Meeting. In a landslide victory, over 300 votes were cast for Ryan Gallagher’s film about finding romance.
- Director’s Choice: The Lesson of the Moth. Robert Quick, director of film productions at NBN, had this to say:
This film truly embodies the spirit of student filmmaking, and is a pioneer in an area of film that doesn’t get as much attention. With hand-drawn pictures, vivid colors and original sounds, it’s a unique combination of animation, sound design and poetry all wrapped into a potent story.
To each director will go a $50 prize. Congratulations to them, and thanks to everyone who submitted or watched a film!
