DM is go! Pictures and audio from the kick-off

Dance Marathon 2007 kicked off earlier tonight, as hundreds of Northwestern students stormed into the Norris University Center’s Louis Room under flashing lights and through blaring music. Dancers moved their bodies to songs by artists ranging from Jay-Z to Pink to The Darkness. Music videos occassionally appeared alongside the music, as was the case with Gwen Stefani’s “Wind it Up.” DM emcees Todd Johnson and Adam Welton drew huge applause as they hosted their third straight Dance Marathon. The dancers were going strong, but they still have 29 hours to go…

This year’s charity is Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy (CURE), an organization focusing on finding a cure for epilepsy and raising awareness of the disease.
