Dancers a bit tired after six hours

Based on the second recess of Dance Marathon, the participants were starting to tire a little bit, but still didn’t seem too fazed by the night’s happenings. Unlike first break, where most dancers simply spread out on the floor, more students rested their legs against the walls of Norris University Center, a sign that the constant gyrating was starting to take its toll. Still, many dancers seemed stable, doing all the things they did during the first intermission. Shirts were stripped off for the next costume theme, food was stuffed down gullets for the sake of energy and deodorant was sprayed in mass quantity in an effort to drive off the landfill-like smell starting to develop.

Dance Marathon officials lugged boxes full of bottles of water into the dancer areas, and were immediately pounced on by parched participants. Soon, the ominous knocking resonated through Norris Center, and the dancers were back in Louis room for the surely Facebook group-inspired “Back When Pluto was a Planet,” shaking to an 80’s Madonna track.
