‘Can I just have one more moondance with you, my love?’
Twirling and holding hands, Communication sophomore Amanda King and Weinberg sophomore Tim Ullmann dance together.
Thirty hours of dancing is a lot to get through for anyone, but dancing with a significant other can certainly make the experience more fun.
One couple, Communication sophomore Amanda King and Weinberg sophomore Tim Ullmann, said that dancing together made doing DM even better.
“It’s nice because when you get really tired, hugs are perfect. It makes it more fun [because] we like being together so we can be together for 30 hours,” she said. “And because we know each other, we can ask each other if everything’s okay instead of just ‘are you tired?’”
Ullmann agreed that spending so much time together was enjoyable.
“And it gives you someone to dance with,” he said. “Plus it’s good motivation because you can’t wuss out before your girlfriend can.”

Well I’m glad to see NBN decided to write captions, but it would help if you not only spell checked, but published correct information. Not only are these two not DM dance partners (you should check their dancer numbers when you interview them next time), but King is not in “Comunication” nor the School of Comm for that matter. Nice work NBN. Way to be accurate, professional journalists.

Nice job Dagny. It’s nice to read DM coverage that isn’t about how tired, hungry and delirious every dancer is.

Amanda IS in the school of communications, which she told Dagne when she was interviewed. She recently transfered schools so that she could double major. You should make sure you know what you’re talking about before you decide to correct someone, T.

King is most certainly a Communication sophomore…she transfered. Try not to be so hard on the journalist. And it doesn’t say we’re partners, just dancing together.

Don’t be so hard on “T”. After all, it can’t be easy fostering so much unreasonable hate for a publication that provides a free service to the campus community. I mean, have you SEEN some of the people in Medill?
