Drums and dance resound in ADDE spring show
Dressed in flamboyant colors and with handcrafted jewelry, members of the African Drum and Dance Ensemble performed in bare feet as part of “Black to Africa,” their second annual spring show in McCormick Auditorium on Thursday evening.
Their program showcased seven unique dances involving a variety of stomping, shouting, and customary movements to go along with a mixture of different rhythms.
The show also included a guest performance by musicians from Boomshaka as well as an energetic warm-up which audience members were encouraged to join.
