NU in 60 seconds: January 10

What to do today:

  1. Help someone else for a change: Go to the volunteer fair in the Louis Room in Norris from 2-5 p.m. today to learn from student organizations about volunteer opportunities.
  2. Kick some butt: Learn some awesome moves in a self-defense seminar hosted by Paracombatives JuJutsu in Blomquist Gym at 7:30 tonight.
  3. Get an inside look at prostitution: See the South Korean film “Bad Guy” at 8 p.m. at the Block Cinema. What could be better than a story about a gangbanger/pimp obsessed with a college student?

Campus news:

  1. RTVF junior spells his way to victory at DM spelling bee. Think you can beat him? Play our interactive spelling game.
  2. NU got more early decision applications this year, but accepted slightly fewer students.
  3. Girl Talk tickets sold out today within hours. Too bad if you missed out.

Outside NU:
