What you need to know to live your life today.
What to do:
- Win free Starbucks: Norbucks is giving away four $25 gift certificates today!
- Tell Alice “Happy Birthday!”: Alice Millar Chapel will have its birthday party Sunday, and our very own chapel choir will perform rare music, including recently discovered pieces from Vivaldi. The concert begins at 5 p.m.
- Celebrate Chinese New Year: Celebrasia is at Saturday at 7 p.m. in Ryan Auditorium. TASC and CSA are bringing in the Year of the Rat with a bang. You could win money and there have been some hints about Tyra Banks.
What to know:
- Pot activism is high on campus: Think what you want, but NORML is working to legalize marijuana not just in Illinois but all around the country. Frat parties might get a little more legal.
- It’s Black History Month. NU has a ton of events going on for Black History Month. The University began celebration of the month by releasing a list of events planned throughout campus.
- Men’s Basketball faced a chilling game. Even after classes were canceled, the men’s basketball team made the trek up to Ryan Arena to play the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Wednesday night. The ‘Cats were defeated 92-72.
