Northwestern creates YouTube channel
Northwestern launched an institutional channel on YouTube, university officials said Monday, intending to display the school’s academic offerings, fine arts, events and other information.
The channel, located here, currently features 81 videos, ranging from old television spots to musical performances to President Henry Bienan’s State of the University address. NU’s page is broken into five video categories: academics, research, arts, events and news. The site works the same way any YouTube channel functions.
Northwestern joins universities like Vanderbilt and the University of Southern California in operating a YouTube channel.
