Flight of the Conchords show sells out within an hour

Unless you showed up at Norris at 8 a.m., chances are you weren’t able to get a ticket for the Flight of the Conchords show organized by A&O.
More than 300 students waited in line at Norris for a chance to see Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement perform live. The box office opened at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, and tickets sold out by 11:15 a.m, leaving many sorely disappointed fans.
Students were only able to purchase four tickets each, each ticket costing $10. When A&O brought Office star B.J. Novak in February, tickets were sold for $5, and there was an eight-ticket limit per person. The new limit was done to reduce scalping, but some students are already selling their tickets, some asking for more than $40 per ticket.
A&O answered a few questions on its Web site about the ticket sales, and noted that about 1,000 seats is the maximum possible for most shows.
Flight of the Conchords, a Grammy-award winning digi-folk-comedy duo from New Zealand, will perform Thursday, March 6 in Cahn Auditorium. Improv group Meow and Kristen Schaal, one of the main actors in the HBO show Flight of the Conchords, will be opening.
