President learns something from a jounalist!

In a press conference today where President Bush denied that the U.S. is heading into an economic recession, he was asked by a reporter about analyst predictions that gas will reach $4 a gallon in the near future. President Bush responded, “That’s interesting. I hadn’t heard that.” He then went on to say that the best way to prevent such things would be to make his tax cuts permanent.

C’mon, Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman, we’ve gotta keep this guy informed! Or he could just read the New York Times. Or CNBC. Or the Baltimore Sun.

  1. Oh he knows about all these things. Bush is a lot smarter than most people give him credit for. This is just his ploy to dodge questions and avoid answering the tough ones.
