In case you missed it: Facebook, Apple, Best Buy, etc.

Welcome back, kids. In case you missed some of the latest news in the tech world this past week, here’s a nice lil’ summary for you.
1. Facebook set to launch instant messaging. According to the article, the service will be built into the user’s profile page. Another 3rd party app!? I’ll let it slide. At least it won’t be another “Ryan invites YOU to own a pet rock!”
2.“The pill” to be available for men. A group of physicians developed a “safe, effective and reversible” male contraceptive that is supposed to suppress the “rate and extent” of your little swimmers.
3. Apple DVR interface revealed. According to recent patent filings, Apple is fumbling around in a device that will be able to record live television like a TiVo. Sources say it will be pre-loaded with all your favorite Justin Long ads!
4. Best Buy calls cops on customer. Yep, Best Buy is at it yet again. According to the article, the only thing the customer did was tell a fellow customer that a certain bluetooth headset was overpriced. In related news, Best Buy abolished free speech in their stores today.
5. Rick Astley talks about “Rick Rolling.” In case you aren’t familiar with “Rick Rolling,” it’s when you click on a link that turns out to a be a video for Rick Astley’s hit, “Never Gonna Give You Up.” Rick apparently loves it. OMG WAIT, CLICK HERE FOR A FREE iPOD!
