NU in 60 Seconds: April 27

The last wave of prospies arrive today, so stay away from Norris between 5 and 6 p.m. In honor of the eager young ‘uns, the NU Revue will take place in McCormick Auditorium starting at 8 p.m.

Those deciding on NU in the coming days might not want to talk to soon-to-be-graduating Law School students. They’re apparently up in arms about the prospect of Jerry Springer delivering the school’s commencement speech. Law students are purportedly circulating a petition against the idea. If you want a more sober, visceral way to get your emotions going, see Holocaust survivor Leo Melamed is speak in University 122 at 4 p.m. The Chicago businessman escaped Poland in the late 1930s and fled through Russia to escape the German prison camps. The event is sponsored in part by Hillel.

And don’t forget to give those baseball players a pat on the back. The Wildcats defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes twice this weekend in 6-4 and 14-8 victories. But, stunningly, Northwestern lacrosse lost on Sunday — after a record-setting 36 straight wins.
