A visual guide to ASG’s A-status funding recommendations
By
On Wednesday, ASG’s finance board announced its student-group funding recommendations for the coming year. That’s the money that helps pay for Dillo Day, Andy Samberg and other campus events. The final amounts will be finalized starting next week.
For now, take a look at who’s getting what by exploring our interactive chart. The greater the recommended amount, the bigger the group’s name. (Co-sponsorships aren’t included.) And yes, A&O Productions really does dwarf everyone else when it comes to ASG money.
Scroll over each group for details.

If only there were some other mechanism for distributing funding in accordance with what students really want, rather than have a centralized committee guess at students’ wants…I wonder if Adam Smith has any ideas.
Remember the money *YOU* paid to A&O or Niteskool or any group when you cannot get tickets to their events. Apparently ASG sees fit to demand that *you* fund events that *you* cannot even enjoy. Excellent, huh?

NBN you stylish hunk you.
Hey Dan K. The SAFB has meetings every Monday night. You are free to attend and ask them yourself why they do what they do. It actually makes sense. You get more money if you have good attendance and vice versa. And don’t yell at Niteskool and A&O just because this campus has a very limited number of venues. Complain to ASG and help get a real concert hall built on campus.
