I just signed the Apology to Mayor Daley drafted by the College Democrats and College Republicans, and I hope other seniors will do the same. I now realize the comments I made in this interview were ignorant and short-sighted. In my defense, I had wished to convey that although I felt a sense of connection to Daley (something conveniently cropped out of the video) I didn’t feel that most of NU’s students did. Nevertheless, some of my comments were definitely uncalled for and I apologize.
