And the winners of our film festival are…

We’re excited to announce the winners of the 2008 NBN Film Festival, which drew more than 5,000 visits.

Readers’ Choice: After a grueling week of competition and more than 618 votes cast, it came down to a very close race between A Northwestern Fairytale and Dino-Adore. But the winner, receiving 53 percent of the vote, is Dino-Adore, a film, says director Sara Katz-Scher, about “a college student with a unique friendship with a stuffed dinosaur.”

Editors’ Choice: The Entertainment editors agree with many of the film fest commenters, and give the Editors’ Choice prize to Cameron Gibson for his film (in)tangible. They chose the film because it was touching, well-made, and related to Northwestern in a unique way.

Congratulations to our winners, and thanks to all who competed and voted. Each winner will each receive a $50 prize. You can still view the films here.
