Kel Mitchell: Lost and Found
Sorry if it seems like Pop Vulture is turning into the “Child Stars: Where Are They Now” blog, but, seeing as the majority of us grew up in the 90s, it’s simply hard to resist any Kenan and Kel-related news. Kenan Thompson, SNL regular and star of the greatest movie of all time, recently revealed in an interview that he does not know the whereabouts of his All That and Kenan and Kel co-star Kel Mitchell. He also revealed that he is somewhat of a dick, but don’t let that ruin Heavyweights for you.
Upon hearing that Kel had gone off the radar, I decided to embark upon an internet quest to rescue this Nickelodeon legend from his recent obscurity. First, I uncovered the basics: he was born right here in Chicago, he’s 30 (crazy, I know), he is divorced with two children, etc. Then I dug a little deeper. Apparently, in 2006, an internet rumor circulated that Mr. Mitchell was deceased. Thankfully, in fact, he is not. He is, however, on Myspace. And making youtube video parodies of popular hip-hop songs–I personally recommend “Love with Nubs,” based on Usher’s “Love in this Club.” According to his Myspace, he is now residing in Los Angeles, but there’s always a chance he’ll come back to visit his hometown (I’ve got my fingers crossed).
There is but one question left unanswered: does he still love orange soda?

I completely agree that Good Burger is the greatest movie of all time. I just finished watching it for like the 40th time, seriously. I am always interested to hear whats going on with kenan and kel.
