Hey Rene,

None of the items on this list are ranked, it’s just a list of some cool NU music videos available online. All ten featured clips are equally interesting (though, personally, #10 is a bit more amazing than the rest, though I’m not sure why).

“Tarzan Boy” (original artist: Baltimora) is the name of one of the tunes we play in the stands at games (and, in the case of this video, at the 2006 homecoming pep rally). Pictured in the video are the tenor (drum) players doing the “Tarzan Boy Tenor Dance.” I believe the story behind this is that there was no tenor parts written for the song, so instead of sitting there with nothing to do while the rest of the band played the song, the tenors decided to make up a dance. It has since become a trademark of the song, and the dance has evolved throughout the years. Look for it at the next home football game!

Hi Ben,

The video description on YouTube says “Music Video created in 1987 at Northwestern University for NHSI (The National High School Institute)where as a “cherub” I “majored” in Radio-TV-Film.” Hope that clears it up!
