During his inauguration speech on Tuesday, President Barack Obama focused heavily on the the need to rebuild the economy. He noted “a sapping of confidence across our land — a nagging fear that America’s decline is inevitable, and that the next generation must lower its sights.”
Not a cheery message for the class of 2009. Here, three Northwestern seniors reflect on the economic downturn and the new administration. The big question: will we all be living in a box come June?
Yes we will all be living in a box soon be it cardboard, plastic, pine or just dirt. If we all don’t stand up as a people and have our voices heard there will be change. Not the change that Obama preached once upon an election in the not too distant past.
