Class of 2009: Will work for hope

During his inauguration speech on Tuesday, President Barack Obama focused heavily on the the need to rebuild the economy. He noted “a sapping of confidence across our land — a nagging fear that America’s decline is inevitable, and that the next generation must lower its sights.”

Not a cheery message for the class of 2009. Here, three Northwestern seniors reflect on the economic downturn and the new administration. The big question: will we all be living in a box come June?

  1. Yes we will all be living in a box soon be it cardboard, plastic, pine or just dirt. If we all don’t stand up as a people and have our voices heard there will be change. Not the change that Obama preached once upon an election in the not too distant past.
