Tracking Bienen’s legacy, word by word

In honor of President Henry Bienen’s retirement at the end of the year, we looked for a way to offer some perspective on his years in office. Inspired by a New York Times feature, we decided to examine Bienen’s final State of the University address — and every one he has given since he took office in 1995 — and pick out the words that he used most frequently. Here’s a presidency, and a recent history of Northwestern, in words.
