Messing with Facebook’s “Like” feature

My favorite new hobby: Liking a Facebook status that shouldn’t be liked. I mean, let’s be honest — there are people on your Facebook you barely know, but hate with every ounce of your being. If Chuck Klosterman were writing this post, they would be those people you have sex with once because you hate them. They’re your guilty pleasures.
Too bad Facebook doesn’t have a “dislike this” option. That would be even more fun considering how overwhelmingly happy most updates are. Facebook, take note.

Possibly the best article on NBN.

Even though I know you were making a reference to Klosterman’s writing style I object to your use of this particular sex metaphor. Not only does it imply sexual violence or assault but, by comparing it to the common act of clicking a button on facebook, it normalizes this violence. I understand that it’s just a metaphor and not meant to imply what it does, but I still feel it was an unhelpful addition to an otherwise ok blurb.
My point is, this same article could have been written sans those 21 words and expressed exactly the same thing.

Anon, have you even read Klostermann? How does it have to do with violence?
