At SEED Philfest 2009, Northwestern students dance, plant flowers, blow bubbles and paint pictures while live bands play bluegrass music. Students for Ecological and Environmental Policy (SEED) sponsored the free event, which promoted environmental awareness. The Gentlemen of NUCO, The Giving Tree Band, Cornmeal and Tea Leaf Green played through the afternoon and evening on the east lawn at Norris.
