Skyler paints the Rock: May 25

Pennsylvania State University sophomore Skyler Marzewski, brother of Medill senior Bethany Marzewski, painted the Rock on Sunday.
Bethany sent me an email to notify me of the Rock being painted and included a picture. She said in her email, “I’m not sure if we’d like to endorse the whole ‘kid coming from another school to paint our Rock’ thing, but I figured I may as well send it to you, anyway.”

No, thank god I’m not a prospective journalist. I hope to have a decent job after I graduate with a real degree. If the sister had painted it, cool, but why did her brother do it as the sole person? I just think it’s kind of lame. It’s even more lame that his sister submitted it. And no, he doesn’t have direct ties to NU. It’d be like showing up at my cousin’s school and do one of their traditions just to be obnoxious.
