A progress report on McGee and Smithburg’s first quarter

Though results were only announced this past April, it seems like forever since Mike McGee and Tommy Smithburg were elected ASG president and vice president. When running for office, their platform included extensive promises in areas from campus shuttles to alcohol safety to even replacing Norris. We checked in with McGee and Smithburg to see how they’ve acted on their campaign promises during Spring Quarter.

  5. Oh Cool!

So, progress and promises are both the same category now? Am I seeing things or did anyone else read “is going to…” or “planning on…” or “next year…” “working with the university….” or “next year…”

    NEAL’S BACK!

  6. Yeah to be honest not a lot of progress has actually been made. A lot of “discussing” and “working on” is mentioned but no progress has been made. Now, I’m giving McGee the benefit of the doubt since he hasn’t had much time in office, but by the time Fall rolls around we should expect to see at least some concrete deliverables.

  7. Damn Tits and doubtful, give these guys a break. It’s been a little more than a month and they have been able to get Shuttle GPS and redesign shuttle routes for next Fall. I would say that is a big accomplish in a short amount of time.

The reason why there is a lot of “working on,” “planning to” and “discussing” is because things don’t get done overnight.

They also just launched a new website, which wasn’t even a campaign promise. Got issues? Let them know!

  8. Re-designing a shuttle route would take maximum 20 minutes. You just connect the dots and run it by the administrators. Shuttle GPS was in the works before campaigning, and would have happened even if Adams/Pratt won. Does not sound like a lot of progress to me.

  9. Is there a reason this mostly text piece is served up in flash? I don’t understand why I have to click 8 times to view all the content.
