America has spoken, and Northwestern’s own is sticking around for another week on American Idol. Saying goodbye? Janell Wheeler, Ashley Rodriguez, Joe Muñoz and Tyler Grady. Don’t remember them? Yeah, exactly.

He was a horrible singer!! He sounded like a karoke singer. It was horrible and his accent was even worse. He only stayed because of all the Asian’s voting for him.

@ Dusty: Uh, okay, that wasn’t racist at all (and your grammar sucks). Do we have to continue to stress his being Asian? Who cares if he’s Asian or not? Maybe people actually like him because he’s a good singer, which he is. Did you see how horrible some of the other top 12 guys were?!?! Plus, he’s got NU’s vote, which is not necessarily all Asian. And what does a “karaoke singer” even mean?! You’re amazingly stupid.

It wasn’t a very good song to sign to impress the judges and the audience, but he controlled his voice very well and singed beautifully. I’ve always liked Michael Bubble and his songs, so to me his performance wasn’t boring at all. But I can see how it can be boring for other people.

wow!! LOVE all your comments! except for….Dusty..sorry. :/ yea! he deff can sing! i mean despite the fact that he’s Asian he did GREAT! He should go for song that really suit him so that he can prove the judges wrong coz he’s an amazing singer i must say. :)

Felicia… “despite the fact that he’s Asian he did great”… being Asian has nothing to do with being a good or bad singer.
I think his control and smoothness is amazing, well-worked for, and that he will go far. I don’t know if he’ll win because he is a bass/baritone singer, and most of Idol’s male winners are for sure tenors, but he’s like nothing they’ve ever had on the show.

Felicia clearly has not heard a good deal of asian music in her life. Because there are a heck of a lot of asian singers out there who basically kick western singers’ asses (*ahem* DBSK).
And as JC said, it’s not even like your race affects your ability to sing. Stupid ignorant fools.
But Mr. Park certainly has a beautiful voice :’) I don’t know what the judges were listening to. I thought he sounded beautiful.

John definitely showed his talent and deserved to go to the next round. Hope he chooses something with more “wow” that can keep him in the competition; he deserves it with his talent.

John is good looking and a good singer, but definitely not great. I like him, but I think there is better talent on the show. He should have picked a better song for the show this week.

I think that judges were right, except simon. John has a great voice. But I think John should sing other genres of songs, because i think it would be amazing.
