Delta Chi paints the Rock: May 14

The members of the fraternity Delta Chi painted the Rock on Thursday to advertise their spring philanthropy event, Island in the Sun: Beach Party. The event takes place at the beach north of campus. It starts at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 16 and costs $7 for entry.

As a celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy, the Center for Student Involvement held a campus-wide philanthropy project where student volunteers worked on various service projects. Students volunteered at Evanston homeless shelter Hilda’s Place by sorting through food and clothing donations.
