• Writers - columns, articles, blogs
• Reporters - write stories, record audio, take pictures
• Online editors - copyediting, writing headlines, finding graphics
• Photographers - for galleries, audio slideshows
• Graphic designers - teasers and feature stories
• Web designers - HTML, CSS and PHP coding
• Web developers - hardcore PHP and mySQL coding
• Videographers - shooting and editing
• Marketers - with knowledge of traditional and online promotion, including search engine optimization

Training

There is no better place on campus to learn online journalism. We’re training the next generation of journalists in multimedia, social media, and Web design, in addition to writing, editing, photography and reporting. For our online work, in 2007 we won seven regional Mark of Excellence awards from the Society of Professional Journalists.
