Evanston has finally thawed and its true beauty reappeared, but it can still barely compare to the far off lands captured in freshman Maddie Sachs’ breathtaking photographs. An art theory and practice major and BIP minor, Sachs has had the privilege of traveling all over the world with her camera in tow. She grew out of her role as family photographer into a traveling shutterbug.
Sachs has had the opportunity to travel through China, Africa, and Europe, snapping keepsakes of the faraway locations for her portfolio. She uses both film and digital cameras to capture her journeys, focusing mainly on landscapes. She is currently pursuing an interest in fashion, which may begin to change the focus of her pictures.
